We are taking our first road trip to Amarillo, TX to visit my husband’s family with our 2 month old son. It is an 8 hour drive from where we live. I am a little nervous about this new experience, not to mention that we are leaving after my husband gets off of work which is my son’s fussy time. Does anyone have any tips to making this trip a little easier?

I never traveled much when my kiddos were “babies”, so I’m clueless here…
It will only be about a 4 hour trip.

I have a 7 month old baby and we will be taking our first long car trip for the holidays. The trip will take a little over 8 hours and I was hoping to get some tips from those of you with experience. I am also worried that he will not sleep well in his pack in play because he is so used to his crib. Any suggestions?

My baby will be about 2 months when we go on our first holiday - 10 nights in total, including 2 two hour flights and small amounts of car travel. We are trying to keep accommodation movement to a minimum as much as possible.

Can any experienced parents provide tips for what to take and do to make things easier for bub and us?
Wow - thank you all so much! All answers have been a great help! Now to put them into practice
